Well she did need a job! Since had just been recently fired from her Rat junior staff attorney position on the House (Aside: Pretty sure it was the House, could have been the Senate!) Watergate Investigation Committee. Fired for gross breach of ethics, lying, stealing files (Is anyone surprised?) & general incompetence!
Remember Ford replaced Nixon!
She does reference her “Wellsley internship” in her book LYING History but the context is that she was assigned to the House of Representatives as an intern, which at the time Ford was the minority leader.

Incorrect. Nelson Rockefeller was his Vice-President, but he name Bob Dole for 1976 as his running mate.

1985 - Bob Dole named (Republican) Majority leader of the Senate. 1986 - biggest tax increase ever (to date). 1986 Republicans lose Senate. 1994 - Republicans sweep House and Senate. 1996 - Bob Dole runs for President. Bill Clinton wins easily.

This was right after Ford was on the Warren (nothing to see here) Commission. In 1974-1976, President Ford vetoed more bills than all previous Presidents put together.
So, when Ford actually had real power, he was one of us.
So she was a junior in College and interned for Gerald Ford in 1968. Then gets her law degree and assists the Democrats in the Watergate Investigation. Once again proves, she has no loyalties to anyone or anything. Not only that, I would assume her “hard working blue collar fabric worker, middle class daddy” helped get her the internship with Ford.
The only one she has ever interned for goes by many names - very many - too many to recount from my poor memory, but they always are the synonymous equivalent to EVIL.
Carter barely beat Ford, because Ford vetoed more bills than all previous Presidents put together. President Trump could be no better than to break the record - for the bad bills (while getting good judges in place).
