The normalcy bias is very strong here. Freepers are good, decent salt of the earth types who have a hard time imagining the kind of depravity that the emails point to. Wikileaks tweeted a link to the reddit thread that specifically discusses the pedophile aspects of the emails. Why would they do that if the reddit guys weren’t on the right track?
If you read the actual emails, which I have, there is something very weird about them. They’re discussing food, but it’s not normal. Who plays dominoes with pizza? When you realize that dominoes is pedophile code for “domination” and “pizza” refers to an underage girl, it makes sense.
I’m horrified. I don’t want this to be true, but I don’t have any other explanation that makes sense.
Don’t be so horrified and some freepers, like me, aren’t salt of the earth types. I have no doubt that Bill Clinton et al are a bunch of freaks straight out of the businessmen in the movie “Klute.”
I agree. I can imagine some freepers being the old cop of a small town in a horror movie who just will not believe the panicked teens that something weird is going on.
Thanks LVN, I had noticed some people have difficulty discerning and reading beyond literal meanings. Normalcy bias is a good way of describing this tendency to not want to see.
I’ve been reading all this on another site. I think some people are innocently using Pizza and other pedophila code words, then there are people in the ring that are using the pedophilia code words in email to a more selective group where the emails are just plain weird.
It’s like when spies would plant coded messages in newspapers.
