Campaigning in Florida on Tuesday, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton claimed that she was in New York City on 9/11, when terrorists flew planes into the World Trade Center. She made her claim while discussing terrorism and the threat posed by ISIS. “I know what happened not far from here at Pulse night club in Orlando,” she said. “I was in New York City on 9/11 as one of the two senators. I will defeat ISIS. I will protect America.”
But Clinton wasn’t in New York on 9/11, according to Politico.
As a United States Senator she was in Washington D.C. at her home in Whitehaven when the first plane hit the World Trade Center. She spent most of the day reacting to the attacks in media interviews and joined her colleagues singing “God Bless America” on the Capitol Hill steps.
Clinton flew to New York on September 12, after making a speech on the Senate Floor in the morning. She traveled with her fellow New York Senator Chuck Schumer and Democratic Congressman Charlie Rangel.

Bill Clinton was in Australia. George W. Bush helped him get back quickly to the US (not easy when most air travel was shut down). Bill showed his appreciation by rushing to NYC ahead of President Bush to be in the spotlight.

Yes, the travel office fiasco was a disgrace. So unfair to the travel office that was there...the way they were kicked out in a day.
Her Arkansas days were a complete nightmare. She arrived there dirty looking and unkempt and had to clean herself up to be accepted. She had to give speeches and promise the world to the Arkansas citizens to help Bill get elected all while blaming the bimbos for her husband’s bad boy behavior. And, it went on from there. And more. And more. Very nasty woman.
I am sure she lied as a little girl and learned that it could be to her advantage. She is very practiced and can lie without blinking. But, she now has a disorder that she is trying to hide which would never be accepted if the general public knew the truth. Another lie but she gets the gullible to vote for her in spite of it all.

That would have been an official US Gov’t aircraft on official business. The airlines were grounded for fear of more hijackings, not because it was unsafe for aircraft to be in the air.
The only genuine thing about Hillary Clinton is that she will pander to whatever audience she has in front of her 100% of the time.

In a word, yes. A state’s senators are the elected, Federal-level representatives of the people of that state. In an emergency which effected interstate travel, it is not beyond reason to assist representatives to get back to their home districts. Especially when that district is where the emergency happened.
Exactly, she was there on 9/12 for the photo op with Rudy.
How did she fly? I thought all planes were grounded for days after the attack.
It sounds like your reply was written by Nancy Pelosi! The only effort they expended on 911 was raising funds and Photo Ops!
