But it’s a ratchet: Any announcement that things are all clean and above-board would be suspicious. That requires a huge amount of scrutiny of many thousands of e-mails.
But any single finding of, say, espionage could be reported immediately and not appear suspicious.
Iran, Saudi, Russia, PRC, Norks, h3ll...whoever wanted these emails GOT THEM already.
Just dump them. Bring the mother down. Most of DC is in on it, after all.
