A new theory aims to explain the mysterious disappearance of planes and ships around the Bermuda Triangle.
Meteorologists revealed that strange clouds linked to super-powerful air bombs could be capable of bringing down large objects, while speaking to Science Channels What on Earth?
According to the New York Post, scientists used satellite imagery to detect hexagonal-shaped clouds between 30 and 80 km wide, with a hurricane-like force of 275 km/h, forming over patches of water.
The satellite imagery is really bizarre the hexagonal shapes of the cloud formations, said meteorologist Dr. Randy Cerveny. These types of hexagonal shapes in the ocean are in essence air bombs. Theyre formed by what is called microbursts and theyre blasts of air.
The Bermuda Triangle, which is located between Miami, Puerto Rico and the island of Bermuda, has baffled researchers for decades. The area has been synonymous with objects mysteriously disappearing.
Stow your bravo sierra. Just keep it to your self. We (the adults here)don’t want to hear it and you just waste our bandwidth. Have you donated lately, ...ever ??? I thought not. Go away.
SS1
.....and I am sure your ship had fairly modern electronics compared to those lost in the Triangle allowing it to see and dodge aerial and surface weather activity.
Even the cheap model on my Dads Grand Banks and the better I crewed in the CG allowed us to see Sargasso fields on the surface
Most ships lost were long before decent electronic nav gear the last was a Cptn screw up as he never should have been out there.
Aircraft lost had Radar and it was in its infancy but thats about it.
Weird weather pops up unannounced out there and if you can see it it can ruin your day.
R U kidding? I’ve been through some of the worst storms/depressions in the Bermuda Triangle that there are. I was stand on the bridge on time and the ship heeled over 35 degrees, maybe more. Scary crap. Where do you think patrolling SSBN’s hang out? Under tropical depressions that’s where. I’ve spent weeks in the so called Bermuda Triangle and never saw anything weird.
I spent my entire time in the CG doing SAR and others crap in the Bermuda triangle almost daily and also never saw any thing “weird” other than normal predictable and sometimes violent tropical weather that we were able to dodge and sometimes ride out.
C130 HU16e C123’s some rides were rougher than others but I was a yute and loved every moment.Scared at times too but still loved it.
Sir! Yes Sir!
