No need to pray. God already knows who wins. God doesn’t care who wins because God has already chosen who wins. So, no need to pray, He doesn’t care. God gives us the presidents, kings, rulers that we have shown Him that we want by our conduct. That is why since Reagan we have had a steady line of idiots in the WH. This last one has been a royal doozie. If we get the Beast, then it is because America is done. God has given warning after warning after warning and we continue to ignore. Our behavior, unbelief, actions, deeds, fifthly sins, debauchery, drugs, abortions, homo marriages, you can go on for hours. This got us Obama, and it will get us the Beast if we don’t clean up our act. If we get Trump, it is God saying to us, last chance. Clean it up now, or else, total destruction.
Sobering. Although you could say that about any situation, really. What matters is what God wants each of us to do personally, IMO. And we're here to act our roles before God. As you say, God is always in charge of the results. But we are in charge of our efforts - that is our personal test. Each individual one of us. And who knows - God's not an accountant. He doesn't separate beans into piles. He looks at the heart and decides according to His own ways. The least of us might hold the future of the whole word in our hands, if we just knew it. Which is probably why He doesn't tell us...
And remember, Jesus already won this war. He said so when He said, "It is finished." Evil has already lost - it just doesn't know it.
