The alarming fall in NFL TV ratings this season is partly because of fan anger over on-field protests by Colin Kaepernick and other players of the American flag/national anthem, according to pollster Rasmussen Reports.

Not watching the NFL. Its become an aggravating in-your-face PC spectacle that’s saturated with non-stop advertisements. Who has time to watch garbage like that?
The NFL has dreams of going “international” (i.e. the repeated games in London). Hence they are throwing America under the bus. Just as Hollywood did in the 20’s and 30’s.

Kaepernick is just some dumb jock. The real culprit is the NFL who is allowing K’s behavior to spread and disrupt the game.
I think your action reveals a part of this "boycott" that goes beyond the antics of the Kaepernicks. Generally, TV sports has been a place you could go to escape all the political noise which permeates all aspects of the media, not only in "news" broadcasts but in the entertainment divisions too. But now ESPN has become blatantly political as has the print sports media and now the antics of Kaepernick and his clones is just the last straw. People are tuning out - they are sick, tired and fed up with all the political whining and bitching and grandstanding by the most privileges people on earth. Don't be surprised to see this decline bleed into all sports programming.
I will watch the Cowboys because Jones told his team they could leave if they didn’t want to stand for the
Anthem or if the wanted to raise their fists!

That tics me off more because they get their cake and eat it too, while we are deprived of seeing/hearing the National Anthem.

I decided to take a 4 hour bike ride last Sunday. I didn’t miss a thing. Oh, and I could still drink a draft at the mid point.

I quit watching a long time back.... once in a while I would look at a game. When the NFL treated this hatred of America by the employees as something okay to do, I shut down.

The only TV I now watch is old TV shows and movies. Periodically I watch Let’s Make a Deal and it is funny to see people get excited about winning a gold refrigerator or modern furniture. It gives you a good glimpse into inflation too.
