Humanity may split into two sub-species in 100,000 years' time as predicted by HG Wells, an expert has said.
Evolutionary theorist Oliver Curry of the London School of Economics expects a genetic upper class and a dim-witted underclass to emerge.

Which is it?
Humans slowly evolving in different directions via natural evolution? Humans taking control of their genetics and creating all manner of chimeras (e.g. people with wings, gills, mixed with tigers, etc.)? Cyber-humans? All out AI robots?
Maybe we'll be spared these horrific futures by way of a well aimed asteroid or gamma ray burst.
