Not a big golf fan, but I always thought Arnold Palmer was a complete class act. HBO had a great documentary a few years back called “The Back Nine at Cherry Hills” which featured Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Ben Hogan at the 1960 US Open. I wish they would run it again. I saw him a few years ago in San Francisco, Mr Palmer was a very attractive, older gentleman. Very sad news. May he rest in peace.
My 13,year old ordered an Arnie Palmer at Sperrys last nite
No kidding
Say hi to Johnny

WOW! Condolences to family and friends of Arnold Palmer. R.I.P. Thank you, sir.

RIP
RIP
I’m gonna run a putt 6 feet past the hole tomorrow, and make it coming back, in honor of Arnie.
RIP.
I got to see him at the ‘77 U.S. Open at Southern Hills C.C. in Tulsa. Hubert Green won that tournament.
Arnie’s Army . . . those were the days! Always a class act. . . . representing himself, his family, his nation and his sport!!!
Sad night. We were big Arnold Palmer fans.
"And Palmer is CHARGING through the backside . . . ."
My Brethren, the roll of the workmen has been called, and one Master Mason has not answered to his name. He has laid down the working tools of the Craft and with them he has left that mortal part for which he no longer has use. His labors here below have taught him to divest his heart and conscience of the vices and superfluities of life, thereby fitting his mind as a living stone for that spiritual building — that house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. Strengthened in his labors here by faith in God, and confident of expectation of immortality, he has sought admission to the Celestial Lodge above.
My dear beloved just went to bed; he’ll be heartbroken to hear this news. Think I’ll wait and let him find out in the morning.
Twenty-three-year-old Arnold Palmer
in the United States Coast Guard in 1953
Kind of ironic he died on the last day of the 2015-16 season.
He’ll be missed for the ceremonial opening drive of The Masters.
Sad day.
