I’d like to think that our country is in the throes of a temporary group insanity of some sort. Sort of like a societal evolutionary phase that will pass, much like a child goes through puberty and the nutso teenage years.

In some ways I see signs of that being the case. Right now, I think the election of Donald Trump is one effort of the emerging adult mind to shake off the last vestiges of the adolescent stupidity that almost got us killed.

Best way I can think of to analogize it at the moment.

Our country just needs to close the door to Muslims.....no other religious groups coming here threaten to kill Americans on a continuum and that as a sense of duty. I fear we are way past curtailing this as Obama's left the door wide open and invited them in...and more to yet come....
