Anyone with a diesel can do that, simply add a gallon or two of used motor oil, well strained, to a half tank of fuel.
Then pedal to the metal.

Umm, no. That will just clog your injectors and screw up everything, especially with the later model trucks. He is hot rodded, the smoke is un-burnt fuel particulate.Basically, he is pouring in more fuel than can be burned efficiently. I have a pickup that does this.....
