V.J. Day. Dad was Shore Patrol. Mom was 17 and whooping it up with thousands celebrating downtown. They kissed, got married two weeks later, and drove a Packard from Massachusetts to Oregon to introduce mom to dad’s family. Both gone now. Life is short. Kiss!
