Hillary’s voice held up pretty well.
Matt “interrupted” Hillary only in an effort to get her to wind up her very long answers. Other than that, the floor was hers.
Matt really did challenge Trump on almost every little thing. Constantly implying that Trump lacked the experience to do the job (Hillary has 30 years experience at this stuff was the message). Also, Matt really did jump in and defend Hillary on more than one occasion.
Also note: The media person holding the microphone for servicemen and women in the audience introduced one person as “A Republican — but he’s leaning toward you, Mr. Trump.” I thought: what an odd thing to say.
Hillary was trying to filabuster to avoid more questions.
She did a lot of blathering, her usual tactic, without ever answering. Lauer helped her as much as he could.
Trump sounded incredibly knowledgeable about the issues and decisive. Lauer tried very hard to provoke him and failed.
