Rosie ODonnells troubled daughter Chelsea has been hospitalized in Long Island after suffering a drug overdose, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.
According to an insider, the teen was in the ER late Monday night, September 5. But the source said as of that time, her TV star mother had not yet rushed to her side. Rosies rep told Radar she is not commenting.
Sadly, this is just the latest development in the tumultuous relationship between Rosie and her adopted daughter.
As Radar reported, family drama was first thrust into the spotlight last August, when Chelsea disappeared from Rosies Nyack, NY, home for two weeks. She was later found with a man and drug dealer she met on Tinder, Steven M. Sheerer.
Sheerer was later charged with endangering the welfare of a child because Chelsea was only 17 at the time of the incident.
Shortly after, Rosie released a statement saying Chelsea ran away, but the adopted teen claimed she was thrown out.
Then last October, Chelsea held nothing back during a interview detailing her troubled relationship with her superstar parent.
I find her not genuine a lot of the time. When wed go out, she was a completely different person in public than at home and I had a hard time with that, she said, alleging that shes closer to her former nannies than she is to her adoptive mother.
Rosie later called Chelseas hard-hitting interview heartbreaking on every level.
But just a few weeks ago, it seemed their relationship could be on the mend. Rosie shocked fans last month, posting a photo with her estranged daughter. In the picture, a selfie, ODonnells 18-year-old was seen smiling brightly, despite their rocky history.
Chelsea and me what a difference a year makes #hopelives, the comedian said of the photo at the time.

That may be true, but decent parents also end up with “troubled kids” as well. These kids emotionally bully their whole family, sometimes for decades. It’s a living hell.
Likewise, many people who have had a tough childhood or bad parents can manage to grow up and lead decent lives. At some point it is not about your past it is about you. Blaming the parents (or other family members) becomes just an excuse to not have to grow up and be a responsible person.
That's certainly true. But I,for one, cannot see a single bit of evidence that suggests that that worthless pig had any desire to be a decent parent. As a few have already suggested in this thread kids,to her,are an accessory...a statement about pervert rights.Do *you* see anything even remotely resembling decency in "Rosie"? If so,enlighten me please.
Likewise, many people who have had a tough childhood or bad parents can manage to grow up and lead decent lives.
That, too,is very true. But in this case it's not difficult for me to imagine abuse and neglect so egregious as to make sorting out his/her life a desperate struggle for a kid like this one.
Just sayin'...
I don’t know. I wasn’t there to watch her parenting her kids. All I know is that many people wind up with “troubled” kids regardless or how they are parented or other circumstances.
It’s very possible O’Donnell was a rotten parent. However, it is possible that she did the best she could or is troubled herself (as many parents are).
I also know that many people who had very tough and challenging times in childhood are able to rise above it and become decent, responsible adults who don’t terrorize and bully their family members (and others) for life.
At some point a person has to make a decision to leave the past behind and take responsibility for themselves no matter what went on before.
“Rosie has always treated her children as if they were pets she picked up at the pound. I cant remember how many she has but each one was all about her making a stamen for LGBT rights.”
I busboyed in high school and one of the cooks was a tough old bull dyke. She always had a foster kid or two. Mostly problem kids. Evidently the tough love thing worked. Kids she’d had years before loved her and we’re always coming in to see her and seemed like they’d turned out okay. The thing here was that her sexual persuasion never figured into it.
I agree with you on forgetting about her mom and taking off for a local like Alaska. but disagree on her not amounting to anything. if she allows Rosie to control her life then I agree with you.
Rosie did a show for HBO about parenting as a gay parent. the show was about a gay cruise trip for gay parents. it is an eye opener and is where I get my opinion that she looks at her children as some look at pets.
My humble opinion is that Rosie is more or less a 14-year-old kid in adult clothing and can’t be responsible for much of anything. So trying to supervise or provide guidance to some kid....is about the worst thing that Rosie could do.
The core to a woman’s psychological development is her bonding relationship with her father.
This girl did not have a father. She never had a chance. All the money in the world can’t replace the security that a daughter-daddy relationship can provide.
She has had two failed lesbian "marriages". She has adopted or taken in 5 foster children over the years. She has had one heart attack.
She's an activist in the gay movement, spending much time and money lobbying against states such as Florida that prohibit gays and bi-sexuals from adopting children.

Rosie ODonnells
She was good as Betty Rubble. But, wow, that was a long time ago.
bingo....I have nothing against Rosie because she is gay my problem with her is she is self absorbed. for her kids are a decoration....your friend on the other hand she sounds like she was there for the kids when it mattered when the world was against them.
