It’s actually Ann, my wife, and I am Alex.
I like all the spellings of the name.
I guessed that, but reading it my thoughts strayed to such a pleasant memory...I wanted you to know!
I still wear her ring worn in Ireland and polish her sterling silverware. She came to the USA in 1900 through Ellis Island. Maiden name was Hopkins and met her future husband John MCCleary on the ship.
During her final illness she needed a wristwatch, I gave her my elementary school graduation watch. She was buried with it on...my choice.
