I have both, and in my opinion Netflix is better. More options to watch, a friendlier interface on my tv screen, and the option to have hard copy dvds sent if the program won’t stream.

the one option Amazon has is the option to purchase the digital copy. I have used that a few times for shows/movies I want to own.

But if I had to choose one or the other, I’d go Netflix.

I have amazon prime because I bought that “two day shipping” thing and the movies were included. I didn’t go out looking for amazon’s streaming service.

I’ve had Apple TV, have DirectV, Amazon Prime with Hulu and Starz add-ons, and have Netflix.

IMO, the Apple TV sux. Doesn’t have enough memory and buffers too much, a pi$$ poor menu interface and finicky - I gave both of mine to my daughter when I got the Amazon Fire TV set. Works Great! Almost no delays now, even when it’s connected wirelessly to the router.

I have DirectV and hate it but I’ve held off because of the DVR, but with Amazon Prime, Neflix, Hulu and Starz, that is fast becoming a very expensive hold on. It costs $98/month and at the end of this month I cancel it.

With what Prime costs, Netflix, Hulu and Starz costs it is still about half of that. I could add Sling and Showtime and still not hit $98/month. Saying goodbye to DirectV......
