Why do you flaunt your ignorance?
As a young person I had many opportunities to work with extremely difficult children. While in college I filled in for a friend at her regular baby sitting job - it was for a family in North Oaks (gated community) so I was super excited to watch kids without lots of labels and in a lovely home. The mom mentioned that they didn’t believe in spanking. They were the worst kids I had ever watched, not malicious or conniving; they just acted like little barbarians. They ruined my shirt by stretching and pulling it as they climbed on me and fought for attention, they ignored any direction they didn’t like. I was flabbergasted as I had never seen such disrespect. I left knowing that I would some day spank my future children if the situation required it.
I’m happy to say that over the years we have had our kids’ teachers, coaches and employers make a point of telling us how much they enjoy our kids-they are respectful and do what is asked. I’m not a fan of spanking and think it is rarely the most effective option-but there are times when stubborn defiance needs it. Otherwise you end up with barbarians.
Well, you set ignorance as the standard for this thread in your original post.
I'm rubber, you are glue, everything you say bounces off of me and sticks to you.
