Maybe Lucy was pushed. Jane was a jealous wench who whored around with every dude "in the cave".
The tale goes like this....Lucy was going to meet with Tarze, the best looking dude in the cave...a real beast!! Jane knew their meeting place. As Lucy swung to "their" tree, Jane cut the vine.
And that's the real story of Tarze and Jane.

Well, since her body must have almost immediately been covered by a flood of mud in order to be fossilized, the tiger probably couldn’t find her :)

I almost died falling out of a tree. Early one morning in November about 40 years ago. I didn’t get a buck that year.

"...so I'm sitting in this tree,..just chilling....and these two snots come around and start yelling and pointin,..then these three old broads show up....one is making this noise like she has an air leak,one is clappin and the other just kept saying over and over "where is it"...and then this cop shows up and more snots following him...and their all screaming....the old lady "where is it"....then this fire truck arrives...oh goody..more snots...so then this guy puts this ladder up and almost knocks me off the branch...sheeeesh. ...then some cutie says " leave him alone he'll come down when he wants to" finally some sanity.....jeeeesh, will somebody take a photo and show it to "where is it" lady...get your big gloved hand off me,I'm not letting go....no I ain't going....aaaw chit"

Lucy was a chimpanzee about 3 and a half feet tall. There are the merest handful of bones. It’s silly that people refer to this as human.

I wonder if she was doing something stupid when she fell out of it — like swinging from a weak branch to impress her friends. Ironically, Lucy may be the original Darwin Award winner.Probably was texting or using a selfie stick while swinging from branch to branch.

Likely fleeing a threat and had misstep and/or encountered weak limb.Wouldn't that same threat have had a meal consisting of the dead Lucy? I don't recall reports of the bones having been gnawed upon.
