They are not afraid of him losing. What they really fear is him winning and then having the power to conduct REAL investigations into serious crimes and fraud that is the bread and butter of D.C. politics. No such fear was displayed for McCain or Romney. They act like a gang of bank robbers who see an honest Sheriff riding into town and they know what that means for them.
