Son-in-law’s Ford Focus doesn’t have a gas cap at all, just a piece built into the fuel door that acts as a stopper when it’s shut. A quick push and it clicks right open for fueling. I think it’s about a 2012 model, so fairly newish.
(and no, I don’t like how it was designed)
My brand new Jeep Renegade has the same “feature.” Hate it, one more reason I’m too chicken to put a Trump sign in the yard. We don’t have a garage.
