In DC - Tony Snow in Drs. office elevator.
William Sessions, he and I were almost killed Jay walking.
Gerald Ford campaigning.
Carlton Sickles, ‘father’ of the DC Metro.
At airports have said ‘hi’ to a few politicians, actors and TV anchors - don’t remember their names.
“...almost killed Jay walking.”
You just jogged my memory on another anecdote.
As a young messenger driver in the mid seventies, I was once making an afternoon delivery in Century City, Los Angeles.
As I turned off of the main drag into the City, a man stepped off the curb right in front of my car. Through some miracle of reaction time and supernatural control, I stopped the car before killing him.
I’ll never forget the look of horror on that guy’s face. It was Alex Haley, the author of “Roots”.
