Met? Shook hands with Vic Edelbrock Jr. Way back in 1988 at Laguna Seca for the vintage car race. Came really close to meeting several drivers for the 1987 Indy race there, too. At that time, Laguna Seca would use Air Force enlisted students from the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA as additional security, and I was an Air Force Zoomie there studying Korean. I got in to the 1987 Indy Car race, two motorcycle races, and the Vintage Automobile race in 1988 for free. It was a blast. Mr. Edelbrock was very nice.

R. Lee Ermy held and kissed my wiener-dog at a military vehicles show. He had recently lost his dachshund so he was much more affectionate with him than you would expect from his image as a tough marine.

I met Princess Margaret, sister to the Queen of England. I sat next to her in a theatre in Edinburough Scotland over 50 years ago. It happened quite by accident but she could not have been nicer and chatted me up and asked me about Texas!
