Why the alt-right isn’t wrong (Clinton anti alt-right speech this Thurs)
The Spectator UK ^ | July 30, 2016 | James Delingpole

Posted on 08/24/2016 4:52:35 AM PDT by libertarian27

To help you understand what’s going on, I’d like you to cast your minds back to the Eighties and the era of ‘political correctness gone mad’. At the time, we thought it was so loopy it would disappear up its own bottom. Instead, it continued to get worse and worse, leading to lunacies like the nursery schools in Oxfordshire teaching kids to sing about ‘Baa Baa Rainbow Sheep’, and thence to nonsense like the ‘safe spaces’ promoted on university campuses for a generation of special snowflakes, as well as to vexatious campaigns like the one conducted at Oxford by anti-white race hustlers known as Rhodes Must Fall.

Yes, to some it might seem a joke but to the kids who have to live in this oppressive environment — as Brendan himself knows, having written about the Stepford Students in The Spectator — it’s horribly real. Young white straight males suffer especially: the moment they arrive on campus they are treated like potential rapists; in lectures they’re harangued by Marxist professors on their ‘white privilege’, as if all ills in the world from the abuse of women to racism are somehow their fault. And the conservatives who should have been fighting their corner just haven’t been up to the job because of the fatal weakness so many on the right have: a secret terror that they’re as nasty as the left claims they are.

For years, from America to Europe to Australia, on a whole range of social issues from the environment to gay marriage to multiculturalism, diversity and gender, mainstream conservatism has far too eagerly conceded territory to the progressive opposition in order to demonstrate its caring, fluffy side. Even when conservative administrations have been in office they have failed to arrest the leftwards drift of the culture.

Hillary Clinton Plans Speech Against ‘Alt Right’ Political Philosophy

From a personal lover of Saul Alinksy, this commie dupe can go to hell.

Alt-right is real. It’s the term they use for themselves. It’s not a slur. And when Hillary gives her speech, they won’t deny the racism. They will “Agree and Amplify.”

The point of this is to force Trump into another “disavow” situation. It won’t matter, though. The alt-right is on board with Trump and that is that.

Folks over 40, who don’t follow Twatter, etc, have no idea what’s going on out there.

Lots of antisemitic comments on the Disqus thread there.

I have noticed that this seems to be an attribute of some people whom I take to represent this "alt-right" thing that i've been hearing about.

I've read numerous articles/statements from people who seem otherwise reasonable, and the next thing you know they have veered over into anti-Jewish anti-Zionist rhetoric.

I do not understand this pathology. For some reason they seem as though they have this irrational need to blame Jews for everything.

What is wrong with these people? From where did they get these ideas?

The Left won’t be happy until the Right starts shooting. Then they can say, “We told you so.”

I think this is one of those occasions where people should "be careful what you ask for."

The Right is much smarter than the Left and should be able to use their evil against them.

The left has the dominant position in institutions and authorities. Yes, if we could drag the pantywaists out into the street and fight them against us, we would wipe them up with a sponge, but they will get right wing people who dominate the military and police to do their fighting for them.

The left controls the propaganda airwaves. We need to take that first.

Antisemitic comments are designed to shut down the alt-right.

Are you implying it's a "false flag" effort? I find that unlikely.

During my life, i've talked to a bunch of conspiracy nuts, and many of them really do believe that there is this massive "Jewish Conspiracy" against America.

You can't reason with them. They weren't reasoned into their positions, and they won't be reasoned out of them.

The problem is, the media is only covering the perceived "mean alt-right" atmosphere of the Right without touching the already mean and nasty atmosphere of the Left.

And once again, the problem reduces to the fact that they control the airwaves, and we don't.

I keep saying the airwaves are a weapon. We need to take that weapon away from them and turn it against them.

Okay, i'll bite. What does "((( )))" mean?

There are antisemitics all throughout the political spectrum, but ‘the left’ will tag ‘the alt-right’ as “ALL” antisemitic - discrediting all of the alt-right (watch- Hillary will most assuredly do that Thurs)

There are far more antisemitic on the left throughout the world.

I'm over 50 and follow Twitter.
The "alt-right" I follow on twitter will be attacked by Hillary on Thurs.

Cernovich, Watson, Molyneux, B Warner, Dice, IW/AJ, etc. will be attacked as alt-right.
Anything not Left or GOPe is tagged as Alt-Right.
Heck, FR is considered Alt-Right ;/

I suppose “alt-right” is this season’s “neo-con”.

FR is not alt-right. I’m sure some are here. But this is 20th century, Limbaugh-style conservatism.

Alt-right is unabashedly racial. That this bothers you shows you are not alt-right. Watch how they respond to Hillary’s speech. They won’t deny. They will “agree and amplify.”

Very difficult to summarize. It appears it’s going to find the mainstream shortly, however.

Basically, radicalization. The left (SJWs) have become so completely oppressive and insane, and the hostility towards Whiteness and Maleness has grown so outrageous, it has spawned its reaction, which is a radicalized right-wing subculture. The Limbaughs and Levins of the world are utterly clueless and living in the past.

Just watch. It’s going to surface.

Left: You are racist!

Traditional Conservative: No I’m not! Thomas Sowell! Walter Williams! Clarence Thomas.

Left: You are racist!

Alt-right: Of course. So?

“Alt-right is unabashedly racial.”

I think this term is another attempt to convince people that Nazis were right wing and not the Socialists they really were. To me, the “alt” part meaning alternative, can only mean left.

My son, just turned 18, considers himself Alt Right. I had to ask him what it was. Gamergate got him involved in politics. Apparently there are a huge number of millenial males who consider themselves alt right. One interesting characteristic I see is that they have no fear of being called racist. That card no longer works on the next generation. They post to sites like 4-chan, and do weird and funny trolling stuff, like convince women to stop wearing female products and be 'free bleeders' to protest male oppression or the patriarchy.

Amazing how many women on the internet actually fell for that and posted photos of themselves having what I would consider a very embarassing accident.

Their call their opposition 'sjws' or social justice warriors.

Nazism was a reaction to Bolshevism.
