An Islamic preacher based in Saudi Arabia is warning Muslims against using certain emojis. Wajdi Akkari posted a video where he speaks out against a number of emojis that he believes are blasphemous, including the angel and any emojis that are devilish.
According to the DailyMail, Akkari was born in Lebanon, moved to the US to become a rapper when he was 18, and then eventually moved to Saudi Arabia where he teaches Arabic.

Is there a mohammad emoji?

I might get on board with this if Muslim preachers were to determine that all Western technology is haram, thus forbidding observant Muslims from using computers, airplanes, rockets and missiles, trucks and other motor vehicles, motorized watercraft, radio and telephone and electronic equipment, firearms, dynamite, molecular engineering, antibiotics, nuclear weapons, and more.

American-born and born in Lebanon?
That IS quite amazing! Even more than turning himself from a rapper into an Ayatollah.

Yes, it’s a shame it was so poorly done. Wrong number of letter substitutions and misspelled.

Dear Wajdi Akkari , Islamic cleric. You can’t even spell emoji, let alone know what one means. How are you going to issue a fatwa?
