Why do you get the feeling the guy is a class act and truly a real man’s man?

Now 68, Bogataj lives in Lesce, Slovenia, with wife Liliana. He's an award-winning artist, and his paintings have been exhibited in Europe and the United States. The Festival Bled 2016 is currently displaying his work at Bled Castle, an 11th-century tourist destination near his hometown.

I always thought that crash scene was brutal.
Not just physically but mentally and emotionally as well.
To get to the big show and lose like that would totally destroy many people.

Glad the guy went on to have a successful career.

I miss the old Wide World of Sports.
Before everything became political and pampered millionaire thugs ruined sports.

Much better than the article where the guy went to Mexico and tracked down Mario Mendoza who was managing some AA ballclub. He was apparently unaware that “The Mendoza Line” had become standard baseball jargon. Absolutely freaked out on the reporter when he was told about it.

That bizarre accident could have maimed or even killed that ski jumper. But amazingly, he survived with only minor injuries. Glad he’s alive today as a well-known artist.
