So, a larger event happened in 2000 and nobody remembers it except for maybe a few scientists and statisticians, but we’re supposed to be concerned about this one? No thanks.
And since it’s already floating and won’t cause any rise in sea level, the only people that need to be concerned are people on boats in the area. I can’t imagine that’s a significant number.
I was on a cruise ship in Alaska when a huge chunk of glassier calved off only about 1000 meters away.
It did rock the ship, but only a little.
IOW, this isn’t even a threat to close by ships...
