A seven-year-old student was reprimanded for writing her name in cursive.
Alyssa, who was only identified by her first name, turned in a homework assignment that focused on vowels.
In return, her teacher wrote in red pen at the top of her lesson sheet: 'Stop writing your name in cursive. You have had several warnings.'

Teacher can’t read cursive?
I had several.
Or for bringing a healthy lunch from home.
Obviously the teacher cannot read cursive.
No. She wrote the note in cursive.
I had an employer who was upset about silly signs me and another employee were putting up. His response was to put up a sign that said, “No More Signs!” Genius!
Shoot, I’m teaching my girls Spencerian Penmanship and I’m learning it at the same time! I bought fountain pens for them and after we all get better at it I’ll get the copperplate fountain pens that really make the writing look pretty!
I imagine this retard teacher would REALLY hate that!
My thoughts too. If a teacher can’t read cursive, should they really be teaching school? :)
Where did this happen?
The story says Kansas.
I wouldn’t want to be cursived at either if I was a teacher! After all, kids need to be inspectable to the teachers.
During WWII, a guy got a top secret folder, read it, and initialed the cover sheet before he realized he did not have adequate clearance to read it. He asked his supervisor what he should do. He was told to erase his initials, and initial the erasure.
Ok, what’s with the cursive problem (which we used to call HANDWRITING)?? The New York Times had an article this weekend on its evils. I couldn’t go through all their stupid explanations but something tells me this is more dumbing-down for the coming revolution. (Which may make Mao’s look like a picnic in St. James Park.)
Okay, then the teacher was concerned the girl was penshaming the illiterate dumbasses in the class.
Thanks.
That sounds like it had a “Burn Before Reading” classification. :=)
I couldn’t write cursive very well (still can’t) because I was Lefthand Shamed, so in return I did plenty of Teacher Cursing.
Betcha good money that the teacher has a VERY punchable face
Awesome! I’ll have to try that!
