They are turning donations away. Flood victims are being refused folks wishing to cook fresh meals for them by The Red Cross.

a friend of mines parents were volunteers in the regional office in Oregon. he told me they quit when they saw how much the management was using the agency to pay for things like travel. calling it training conferences but actually family vacations. unfortunately lots of organization have problems like this....the local SPCA had its connection with the city I live in severed ( THEY RAN THE CITY SHELTEER) because it is suspected but not provable that she was stealing. the gal is still in charge of the SPCA Locally but most in the area involved with animal rescue know she is corrupt.
I had experience with the Red Cross in Oklahoma during a flood in the 70s.
They were just as crooked and worthless then and are truly an organization worth of being aligned with the Clintons.
You can’t just allow any ol’ person to cook a meal and drop it off. What the hell is that? If they want to help let them donate money or food-read-to-eat.
Bless you! My stepson received a HFOT home (I think it was in 2007?)

>>The only groups I hate more than the red cross are United Way and the Salvation Army.
Why do you hate the Salvation Army?
I see no legitimate point in the LA RC using Facebook where people have to have accounts to log in while the LA RC could very well have its own website for posting this information.
Geez, that guy just started in with the sermon,,so anyone who criticizes the Red Cross is a “hater”? WTH?
Sorry for your experiences with them. I hope you are in a much better place now.
Yes! After Katrina I tried to donate warm clothing and blankets. They didn’t accept it. They wanted cash.
The Salvation Army took my blankets awith much appreciation.
“
I only heard about this from a friend, and saw nothing on the news, so i had to search long to find THIS.
You can read those that are there, but since i have never used facebook, cannot help you more.
Then why on earth did you post it?
.
I don’t give a NICKLE to Red Cross the day I found out Elizabeth Dole drew a 500 thousand dollar a year salary from a NON PROFIT that was it for me!!! I ONLY support Salvation Army they are a truly wonderful organization!!!4
The Red Cross has a long history of antisemitism, anti-Israeli sentiment.
I only donate to the Salvation Army.
My dad was the same. IIRC, he was angry that they sold the soldiers donuts during WWII. Never forgot.
Salvation Army always the way to go.
My Dad hated them too for charging them for beer in Korea!
I have experience with the Red Cross and United Way.
They are both pure s***.
I also have experience with the Salvation Army.
THEY ARE THE BEST.
Tell me what the Red Cross CEO makes?
I’ll peg it at 750,000 a year. You tell me why........
You are wrong. They are from top down mostly volunteers, much more than than others. Another good charity is Fisher House (A+ rating on most charity reviews). The problem is there are so many sites that claim to have the ultimate ranking list and so many conflict. After some research, I found that many of the sites were about liberal projects.
Wrong.
I have first hand experience with that unGodly, worthless group.
Same here. After 9/11 millions of people sent money to the Red Cross for the victims and their families. Red Cross spent a portion of it on them and put the rest in the organizations coffers. I haven’t had a thing to do with them since.
