Sheldon’s grandfather argued that Einstein was wrong.
“Science is never settled.
Explain that to an evolutionist. They are settled.”
Yep: Evolutionists are dogmatic just like any religionist.
But Al Gore promised it was settled.
Al Gore, Orchestrating the crisis the leftists need with the solution being government control of energy (the means of production).
Not really. Newtons calculus, root finding, and fundamental laws still have massive useage and importance
There is no such thing as free energy
That was part of Maxwell’s equations. It was one that was discarded by Oliver Heavyside because like the other 196 he considered ‘abominations’ because they were field equations not his familiar vector equations. The four he kept he converted from field to vector thus giving all we know about the electromagnetic spectrum and created the path for modern civilization.
Point is that Maxwell showed that there is more to existence than just the electromagnetic spectrum we are familiar with ... free energy is all around us (light, and gamma rays, etc) but we know of no way to harness it which is were the discarded 196 field equations come in.
Newton’s stuff was only baby steps; Maxwell stuff was the heavy lifting.
You are right. Thanks.
A new scientific truth does not triumph by convincing its opponents and making them see the light, but rather because its opponents eventually die, and a new generation grows up that is familiar with it.
Max Planck
I also heard this as “science advances one funeral at a time”.
Light and gamma rays are part of the electro magnetic spectrum. Don’t be spouting silliness
Your last sentence shows that your lack an understanding of Newton and his works
Thanks I always appreciate a lead on good mathematics books. I understand maxwells equations well enough.
“Does Einstein have to fall for FTL to work?”
Actually, no.
If you can reduce an object’s mass to zero, you can theoretically travel faster than light. Many have posited that that’s how ET does it.
You misunderstand the entire concept of Maxwell’s importance to modern civilization. Of course light and gamma rays are part of the electromagnetic spectrum - and they are also energy that could be available if we knew how to harness it - light is already partially harnessed by solar panels, but that is indirect.
Newton’s forte was a natural philosopher who laid the groundwork for the scientific revolution. Maxwell was a theoretical physicist who laid the mathematical groundwork for modern civilization - without whom Einstein would have remained a obscure mathematician working in the Patent Office and Tesla would have done something else.
You are so ignorant in terms of physics, optics, and electro optics....
Nice!
