I like that the aliens seem to be “starfish aliens”, but I wish they movie was about a bunch of aliens that are humanoid tricking humans into thinking they are “starfish aliens” in order to keep us scared and on edge.

The original 1998 story, “Story of your life,” is available online. It is confusing, boring, and completely different from what the movie trailer shows. I wonder what the story writer thinks of the movie.
