Yep, I am reminded of the book Texas (by James Michener I think) where this fella was guilty as heck, after the trial presentations the judge tells the jurors to go deliberate, they talk among-st themselves for a minute in the box and tell the judge they have decided, he says, well, go back in the room for a couple of minutes anyway, it will look better.
