Yes, my bad. I was thinking about Korea as well, but again, the country wasn’t really mobilized for Korea like WWII. Also it happened so relatively close to the end of WWII.
Positioning and using your body efficiently...that comes from actually working. Trying to get the shingles up to the roof, pushing the lawn mower for eight hours, carrying a load of wood for the fire, etc.
Nobody seems to work anymore except for red necks in the country. And I mean north, south, west and east, rednecks can be from anywhere.
. I, on the other hand, have the soft palms of a modern-day desk jockey.
Hipsters: Nerds with beards.
All real men use moisturizers on their hands, it’s called “diesel fuel” and “motor oil” isn’t it?
Super slow weight lifting.
Google Barbara Walters does 400 lb leg press
....and see the video
Also several videos on the same technique
Came out of osteoporosis research
Say what you will about rednecks but our country would not be what it is today without them. They are critical to our infrastructure and gittin'er'dun...: )
I’m not surprised.
When I was a kid my entire summer consisted of riding my bike around the neighborhood, swimming and playing pickup ballgames in the park.
Today’s kids barely wander off the couch.
I lived in rural Michigan. Pretty far north.
And home to some of the red-neckiest red-necks the nation has to offer.
Ahhh. But they are smart enough to know how to change the tire fluid....
Spot on! That is a huge problem with the national media at all levels. They are in a gigantic echo chamber and can’t see outside of their world.
Beards, and man-buns.
The males standing next to SHRILLARY! at her rallys all look like fags or suffer from low testosterone syndrome
Indeed. I was up in Boston about 5 years ago and walking around and noticed how girlie those boys are, I say boys as they are not men. Maybe it has to do with the amount of colleges, but what a bunch of weeny fairies. My sons said there are some right little pansies and most have never had a fight or done hands on work in their life.
At sixty three, I can still run circles around the guys who work for me, all of whom are young enough to be my grandsons.
‘course, I’ve been working construction for nearly forty years.
Construction for 40 years?!
That’s impressive!
“Construction for 40 years?! Thats impressive!”
Thanks, but it’s not that great a feat. Do the same stuff month in, month out, year in and year out, and your body just acclimates to it.
My granddad didn’t put away his tool belt until he was over 80. I once caught him nailing up the last sheet of a new drywall ceiling when he was 81. He was the only person on the job site that day.
Now that was impressive.
“...and man-buns.
Those are NASTY! *yuck* Like dreadlocks for white nerds.
They have really well developed thumbs, however.

Yup. It’s all about the activity, and not much else.
I worked in the print industry into my 30s. I had serious hand and arm strength. Unfortunately, that’s not the case today...

BTW, I had the opportunity to see Jeff Beck and Buddy Guy together on stage a few weeks ago.
