Word For The Day, Monday, August 15, 2016 whigmaleerie
good info, robt, thnanks!
A much more serious problem is rigged elections. I expect Trump to make some direct assaults on the election process before November.
It is important to notice that each time Trump has “misspoken” it has been about some Democrat shibboleth. The Gold Star Family debacle comes to mind. In the end Trump was proven absolutely correct and appropriate in his assessment. The Kahn family has been on the Clinton payroll and active in the Islamic Brotherhood for decades.
Democrats are used to getting away with their lies. When Trump calls them on it the entire universe becomes apoplectic. Two days later Trump is vindicated and his numbers go up, again.
That's very similar to what one of my best friends has stated multiple times. If Trump ran as a democrat plant for the purpose of securing the GOP nomination and then TANKING after the nomination was his to ensure a Hillary victory, what would he be doing even slightly differently from what he is doing?
There is no such thing as an independent social media source. EVERY social media source is highly integrated with some other source and its inherent biases. Remember those "independent" sources that showed Ryan about to lose his primary race? Those "independent sources" were just fansites for various "anti-GOP-e" groups expressing their little fantasy world. If you are expecting a Trump landslide you are in for a rude awakening in November.
And here I thought it was Irish.
It is raining off and on, so I’m working at home-drawing plans and typing bids for the concrete contractor, who does not like to draw plans for little jobs, but will pay me a few dollars to do it...
What a ridiculous whigmaleerie
Comey’s antics turned out to be-
He just turned into a court jester
Went along and Hillary went free
While Bill commandeered a plane
Set it next to one Loretta was in-
And did that godfather act so well
She obeyed just to save her skin...
Anyone who trusts Clinton lackeys
Drinks koolaid to dull every nerve
We’re tired of living in the misery
Only they voted for-and deserve...
I agree with Robert on the refinishing-I like to sand paint, etc off wood items, rather than using a chemical stripper-I have two vibrating sanders and several small sanding attachments for the Dremel sander-I’d sand it to bare wood, then stain-or maybe just seal it with the poly stuff-good luck...
I’ll wager my rude awakening against yours.
where are his numbers going up? he's down in fricking UTAH!
Louis, i am praying you are right, but i seriously fear you are delusional. i don’t think even Laura Ingraham or Ann Coulter are as confident as you are.
going to spray the shelving and inside which is a dark blue, a dark grey to match his room. This is for his mother, not him, so it will be white and grey and any sticker slapping can be done by him when he is older.
and whirligigs too! A+++
thanks, i am pretty sure based on how soft this wood is that it is pine and nothing really nice that should be stained. Also, this is for a baby’s room and the rest of the furniture is white, so that’s what my daughter is looking for. i do like the darker grey contrast on the shelves and interior of the bookcase, it has no back.
there will be fraud aplenty, of that you can be sure.
xshub is not interested in investing in a sander, bc this isn’t likely to be something we take up in our retirement, so i am sticking with the hand method. The cheapest sander i saw was $40 or so, and bc the bookshelf was free from the street, i’d like to keep the cost of materials low! we carted it home with the back of my Highlander ajar bc it would have entailed removing the carseat to get the second row down to fit it in properly and that sucker was far too difficult to get in there right to mess with taking it out for this purpose. so we drove slowly and i thought ok, if it crashed out of the back onto the highwaY, it WAS free!
I really needed the day. I didn’t sleep well, have been feverish for the past few days and finally started feeling normal this afternoon. I am also on call Saturday, for 24 hours, before we take the youngest back to school on Sunday. So I needed downtime. I was chuckling to myself about you stopping by the side of the road to load up the bookcase and wondering how fast you did it, to avoid having someone see you. It’s a running joke in our family that to get rid of furniture, you can leave it by the curb for the trash to pick it up or you can put a sign on it For Sale $25 and it will be gone within a few hours.
For a kid’s room, be sure to get a smooth white glossy finish then - it will be easier to clean urps, burps, and oopsies. Chocolate, unknown brown stuff, crayons, dirt, sneezes, and all of that.
A white semi-gloss or satin is not going to clean up as easy. Be water washable - you’re not looking at the fancy lacquers or oil-based stains and or antique living room furniture that soaks up water and gets cup ring stains on it. If a solid smooth white, a water washup (latex) is best and easiest to clean tools and brushes and hands and fingers too.
My friend got it from the street sent me pic and asked if we wanted it. I got it from her house. No one puts anything on our street bc we are a culdesac with no traffic.
Great job!! A ++++
