One of my absolute favorites. His voice was like no other.
He will be missed.
One of the very best traditional American music artists. Unique voice. RIP
RIP.
Oh, that’s too bad, but then he was very old. My parents had his records, and I learned all the songs growing up.
How old?
This is my favorite:

RIP
So sorry to hear. Many memories of his songs. May he rest in peace.
Sorry to hear as he was one of the greats. Appropriate that he should pass while listening to “Baby the Rain Must Fall” as it has such a strong and soaring vocal and message:
Some men climb a mountain,
Some men swim the sea,
Some men fly above the sky:
They are what they must be.
But, baby the rain must fall,
Baby, the wind must blow,
Wherever my heart leads me
Baby, I must go, baby I must go.
I do not love for silver,
I do not love for gold,
My heart is mine to give away,
It never will be sold.
So, baby the rain must fall,
Baby, the wind must blow,
Wherever my heart leads me
Baby I must go, baby I must go.
I am not rich or famous:
But who can ever tell?
I don’t know now what waits for me
Maybe heaven, maybe hell.
Baby, the rain must fall,
Baby, the wind must blow,
Wherever my heart leads me
Baby I must go, baby I must go.
RIP Glenn.
One cannot ask for a better way to go.
Rest in Peace.
Prayers for All
Some of his songs are on my playlists and I enjoy every one of them.
Sorry to hear of his passing but it sounds like he left this world in peace and has left a lifetime of joy behind him.
RIP
I guess he knows now.
Searchin’ in the sun for another overload...
Saw him in my little NorCal podunk town back in
the 80s when absolutely no act would think of playing
here. What a voice! RIP.
He was so good. The song he sings in Breaking Bad (from one of his Limelighters albums), “Times are Gettin Hard”, really brought his greatness back to me. I also loved his accompaniment sound track to “The Hobbit” animated movie.
He was. I remember as a kid my mother, who was an amateur singer played his records. I was fascinated and huanted by one in particularly , “Rose’’.
What a voice...a wonderful singer. R.I.P.
