The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) at the Port of San Francisco destroyed numerous illegal containers imported into the U.S from China. These containers contained rat meat! The strange thing about this is the plan this rat meat to be sold as chicken meat. The idea was the nasty meat to be shipped to different points in several states, and to be sold as chicken.
The FDA states that there is a possibility of another 300,000 lbs. of this meat being offered in groceries and restaurants across the U.S. The FDA inspector, Ronal Jones, claims that if cooked completely, this meat is not dangerous.

Yep. I went into the rice fields and beat the stalks(?) and ran the rats out in front where the people gathered them in burplap bags. I never witnessed how they killed them, but the whole village (just outside of Phuket) all sat down and had a Thanksgiving-like feast. When I saw the bamboo sticks over the hibachi’s in the village we always stopped and bought one or two. Some of my felloe soldiers would NOT eat rat. Some would not eat goat. Venison.

Tabasco makes any thing edible......Absolutely! Had a bottle screwed to a necklace all the time!! People would beg for some and I said ‘F you.’ That jewelery became a hot item.

Mentioned it before, guys in the Marines in the 60's from the south sometimes would tell of hunting rats, skinning them and selling it as squirrel in the darker parts of their towns.
I gather the customers got wise and demanded they leave the paws attached after skinning for positive ID of the meat.
I replaced a toilet seal yesterday...different, I guess.
For political opinion I don’t rely on it. But for news like this it is reliable. Again there was no notice from FDA.

We have Pizza Hut/Wing Street but the Mrs. and I don’t eat there. We’re Mexican, Japanese and Mexican food eaters.(we really like Mexican) Our son treats us to Dominoes pizzas and sandwiches as the only franchise type restaurant food we eat. If we had a Popeye’s I’d eat there, love that spicy chicken with cayenne!
Pizza Hut is for pizza, but I prefer Round Table. Preferably pepperoni and mushroom.

I’ve been “off chicken” since 1955. I hate the foul fowl and any other winged critter.
And people wonder why I want to stop all trade with China.
This is why I don’t eat Chinese food.
