I never watch the Olympics. Boring bunch of crap. Stupid sports, like synchronized walking, synchronized swimming, and synchronized jumping jacks. Just my luck that this year there will probably be sharks in the bay feasting off the trash, and I will miss them eating the swimmers. And who would even go to RIO unless they had a death wish and wanted to die of some weird STD, or toxic bacteria in the water. Bah humbug.
Out of curiosity, watched 5 minutes of the Opening Ceremonies. Then switched back to watching my DVD’s. Not impressed so far with the Olympics and now after reading about the GLOBALONEY BS - will stay away.
Nope, no interest. Probably won’t bother watching any of the games.
I have a feeling that these Olympics will have some very low Ratings for NBC.

I feel bad for the athletes who worked hard to be there then have to deal with third rate video and freaking mosquitoes that can make their babies messed up.
I watched about half an hour of it this morning. I didn’t see the global warming crap and thought the opening I did see was in good taste, the last few Olympics were overdone in my opinion.
In a country where three teaspoons of water might kill you, it will be interesting to see if this effects the games or the coverage. You could get infected with lord knows what just taking a shower.
I got the revenge in Mexico at a 4 star resort. In the end, it is very hard to avoid. Salads, ice, even the “bottle water” is mostly tap filled.
I turned it off when obama came on.
Then turned it back on. Turned it off permanently when I saw the global warming BS. Cannot believe that made it to the Opening Ceremonies.
I’ll watch the Olympics, once bob costas is dead, and the Olympics are back on ABC.

From the very little of it that I watched it was indeed dreadful.
I only watched bits of the athletes entering the stadium, something I usually enjoy. But, first of all they kept cutting (for no reason at all and over and over again) to team USA, who seemed to be doing nothing but posing for selfies and the cameras. Hey, I support our Olympians as much as anyone, but you know, enough is enough, I don’t need to see them every 10 seconds.
And secondly, what was the deal with the people riding in on the little tricyles? Is that a Brazilian thing, riding on trikes? I mean they all looked cute and sweet, but you know it was odd. And what was the little potted plant thing all about? It was like each country had it’s own 12 year old with a bean plant.
Awful, just awful. I lasted about 20 minutes and I think I saw Team USA about 40 times.
Good luck to the competitors, I like the Summer Olympics I might give it another try, but I’m fairly underwhelmed so far.
And....these people will probably spread Zika world wide, so that’s also very bad.

I was at a tavern when this mess came on. Was it an acid trip? Sabato Gigante? A 70’s ear laser show on steroids? Nobody could agree. I ordered another two fingers of Black Label and marveled at the Brazilian mind.
My stupid PCs with the dumb Windows 10, just upgraded last week, have some issues with the flash player that the CBC is using to stream the Olympics so using a VPN I tried to see the Canadian Broadcast and it was so choppy the video that I spent the next 5 hours trying to fix it to no avail. Totally unhappy about the situation. My Desktop was even bad with Youtube videos in HD, but my Laptop was fine with them. They aren’t using the same drivers for video. The Desktop is on AT Mobility Raedeon and the Desktop is on NIVIDA graphics which the PC renamed Microsoft Basic Graphic Drivers in the Device Manager. I’m to the point of having to waste the time to post my issues on a forum for computer repair and if that is not enough then calling Microsoft or heading to either a Windows Store, MircoCenter, or calling a repairman over. I only now have read up on various audio and video issues people have had since upgrading. It is virtually the only issue I have with Wind 10. Streaming is choppy and using a digital Tv tuner I bought in 2014 to see TV, it is also choppier with extensive movement on the screen. So I couldn’t get thru the coverage of the Opening Ceremonies. It’s at the site on replay. I myself avoid NBC.
