CHARLESTON, S.C. —
Dylann Roof, the white man charged in the massacre of nine parishioners at a Charleston church, was assaulted Thursday by a black inmate at the South Carolina jail where he is being held, a law official said.
A police report says 26-year-old Dwayne Stafford ran from his cell and down stairs to attack Roof.
The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office report said Roof, 21, was in the shower when he was beaten around 7:45 a.m. Thursday at the Charleston County jail.
Deputies say Stafford hit Roof in the head and body with his hands, leaving Roof with bruises. Authorities say Roof was examined by medical personnel and sent back to his cell.

So today we hear the Somalian Muslim who murdered an American woman in England was “mentally ill.”
White guy kills = Ban Confederate flag, blame Rush and talk radio, blame Fox, symptom of all right wingers and Republicans.
Muslim kills = No flags banned, mentally ill, lone wolf, ‘motive unclear’, not symptomatic of Islam, not even Islam, Muslims fear backlash.
I don’t have a problem with this.
There is no way to justify what Roof did.
He can carry the weight of it on his own.
I don’t think Mr. Roof will have a good time in jail.
We may never know what his motive was.
