Say WHAT? He was chosen by his peers. Phelps represents the best America has to offer so why not carry our flag? His comment shows he is deserving of such an honor and it's nice to see a 'NON-PC' selection for a change!!! The WH was not involved, OBVIOUSLY.
I watched the qualifying heats and there's no doubt Phelps is STILL a force to be reckoned with. At 31 he's still got it. The dude's a MACHINE.
