What sleeper movies of the last ten years or so would you recommend to family or a friend.
There is no realism in movies like the Bourne franchise. I live in Realville, and computer generated movies don’t rock it for me. And BTW, I’m enjoying this afternoon immensely.
Me Before You. It may still be in theatres. I saw it last week at the Budget theatre. Apparently the book was a best seller (my daughter has read it twice). Terribly sweet. It’s about an ill-watched couple who fall in love and it ends with — well I won’t tell you. But he winds up doing marvelous things for her and opening whole new worlds for her in his absence.

Worst.
Movie.
Ever.
Yes, “Katyn” was both good and disturbing.
Bella was outstanding. I believe I saw it more than once in the theatre.
Sounded like an interesting movie.
Moneyball is an outstanding movie....
October Sky was fantastic. My daughter gave it to me for my video library for our anniversary once year.
Hank & Mike
Trolljegeren
Dead Snow
Tae Guk Gi
Serenity
“Lawless,” and “Legend,” both starring Tom Hardy, with Hardy in a dual roles as gangster twins in Legend. Hardy is beyond memorable in both films — a moonshiner in Lawless and twin gangsters in Legend.
Matt Damon wants full gun control over next no. He won’t do it if a gun is on the set or inn the movie. I like a liberal who stands up for his bullsh$t.
One other "sleeper" that could have been a documentary of the 2008 and 2012 elections is "Idiocracy". Doofus slacker agrees to be frozen, only to awaken 500 years later to find he is probably the smartest person in this world.
A good illustration of the adage "In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king".
CINDERELLA MAN,UNBROKEN THE BIG SHORT.
Good one. I like just about everything he’s in.
One of the best car chases ever.

I read somewhere that “The Dukes of Hazzard” had a forty acre lot of Dodge Chargers.
BTW, there was a very early movie of the same name and it had the same characters except it was not a comedy. Not a great movie but one should watch it just out of curiosity.
re: Atlas Shrugged movies. No speech from Rearden? That’s sacrilegious to the book.
