I didn’t think he had baggage, I just wanted our VP to be younger than 81 when Trump’s 8 years are up :)

You really dont get to take advantage of all Trump will have done by then if you weren’t part of his administration. Pence will be good to go in ‘24.

But I love Newt as personal advisor. Hopefully, he’s have as much sway as that sinister beast Jarrett has.

I agree about the age issue and never thought Gingrich should be VP for a variety of reasons. He credentials are too valuable an asset to preside over the Senate. He was already Speaker.

All along, my plan was for Newt to be Trump's Senior Advisor, and based on what we're seeing, Gingrich is currently acting in that capacity.

Further, I agree with you that Trump will have ingrained his philosophy and methodology in Pence-the-apprentice to take over the reins when Trump retires. Right now, Pence seems like a "really nice guy," sort of like someone's grand-father at Christmas time. I just hope Pence learns to be aggressive and kick ass when required.
