Trumps only obligation is to the people. He doesn’t owe the cruzbots, or the bush bots, or the GOPe a damn thing. Up until the convention those factions have done everything in the book (the Alinsky book) to stop him. The people prevailed, in overwhelming numbers.
In a race, it’s good sportsmanship for the losers to congratulate the winner, not for the winner to coddle and apoligize for winning.
In politics, there is no trophy for just “showing up”.
The people have spoken, now you should stop trying to build a “safe space” for sore loser Cruz, and focus on keeping Clinton out of the WH.
I don’t disagree with your post, at all. This is not, however, about what is “owed” anyone.

As far as I am concerned, anyone still supporting cruz is not worth the effort. I heard part of his TX delegation speech this am and he was talking about his oath to uphold the constitution. Oaths might be a subject for him to avoid right now but he is to bloody arrogant for that to dawn on him. The man made a promise in front of millions of people and willfully broke it. Now he tries to paint the betrayal as honorable. Vile and scurrilous are the kindest words for him.
