Palin, whose endorsement of Cruzs long-shot Senate bid in 2012 was credited by Cruz himself as the reason why he won the race that launched his national political career, gave the following statement to Breitbart after delegates booed Cruz off the stage at the Republican National Convention on Wednesday night:
Turns out Ted Cruzs partner, Carly Fiorina, had a more graceful exit from the political stage than he had.
Cruzs broken pledge to support the will of the people tonight was one of those career-ending read my lips moments. I guarantee American voters took notice and felt more unsettling confirmation as to why we dont much like typical politicians because they campaign one way, but act out another way. That kind of political status quo has got to go because it got us into the mess were in with Americas bankrupt budgets and ramped up security threats.
Its commonplace for politicians to disbelieve their word is their bond, as evidenced by Cruz breaking his promise to endorse his partys nominee, evidently thinking whilst on the convention stage, At this point, what difference does it make? Weve been burned so horribly by that attitude that voters wont reward politicians pulling that what difference does it make stunt again. Politicians will see it makes all the difference in the world to us.

Don’t you love her?
Especially after Cruz stood on the body of a dead policeman just to violate his promise to endorse the Republican nominee.
I agree.
It destroyed Cruz’s career, but I don’t see how it helped Trump at all.
If anything, it gave Hillary fresh ammo she can use to attack.
I almost wonder if Cruz and Kasick, with their psychotic visions of self-importance, didn't have some kind of sicko scheme where the convention would be in disarray and they'd save it.
As a resident of OH, I apologize for Governor Kasick. We can and should do better.
It’s over for Ted, he will be a kooky outsider like Ron Paul.
Obi-Wan Kenobi Jedi mind trick.
That was a glorious sight...and moment.
SuffocaTED.
Cruz took the bait and solidified his place as the bad wrestler that everyone hates.

Donald is brilliant. Set Ted up to show once and for all that he deserved his nickname all along.
And thank you Sarah Palin for telling it like it is.
Hillary/Cruz
Lyin’ Team
I agree Trump knew that Cruz would hang himself if allowed to speak. Anyone who still supported Cruz before this likely turned on him after that speech. It was a good way to show off Ted’s true character.
...
Sans-Culotte: While I agree that Cruz immolated himself last night, I fail to see what was masterful about giving him a platform.

What would Lyin Ted be saying, on all of the news outlets, had Trump had his speaking time pulled?
It would be a non-stop whinefest. Now, we get to see the snake for what/who he is, in his final act of pathetic desperation.
“Anyone who still supported Cruz before this likely turned on him after that speech.”
You got that right. I gave money to Cruz all through the primaries, voted for him in the New York primary, and have continued to donate to his Senate campaign. After last night, forget it. I do think we need him in the Senate because he’ll be a reliable conservative, but I’ll never support another run by him for President.
Cruz’s sole aim was to Feed the media narrative of republican division and to sabotage Donald Trump. Instead, the thunderous chorus of boos showed the opposite — a united party. It blew the media narrative to smithereens.
From what I understand Cruz has just about alienated each and every political person in the universe. What a jerk! I supported him once what an error in judgement on my part.
It is a puzzle for the ages.
How can there be so many more horses asses than there are horses?
You answered your own question.
Hey, I voted for Romney when I should have stayed home, we all make mistakes.
