Please. This isn't politics.

The article implies she's been seen by someone for her depression --- a counselor or doctor or somebody. It's actually possible she had sunk deep into an abnormal brain condition and/or was reacting to head meds.

She drowned the poor baby, murder is murder, and she will face justice for this. It's sad and painful all around. No need to turn this into a political convention metaphor. May the Lord have mercy on her and help her.

Yeah, there's a lot of that going around with that demographic.

First and foremost is not the requirement that I sympathize with this woman's plight.

First and foremost is the requirement that I keep my family safe from people like her.
