Mass movements—whether those of Mohammed, the progressives or John Ankerberg—are fueled by the feelings of frustration of their adherents. The goal of Buddhism is to extinguish (nirvana) these feelings of frustration or unsatisfactoriness (dukkha). Thus Buddhism, when practiced properly, immunizes people from the feelings that drive them toward mass movements. It is not surprizing that Muslims, communists and John Ankerberg oppose Buddhism.

The attacks on Buddhim by Islam are as violent as those against Christianity. See South Thailand and examin the facts of the conflict in Burma (not the UN sponsored misrepresentation of the infiltration). Another illustration of the absurdity of the Coexist bumper sticker and other propaganda. Today, Nice is the face of Islam and its rejection of tolerance.
