SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash. The sheriff of a county about 70 miles north of Seattle says a restaurant owner has asked that law enforcement no longer dine there.
Skagit County Sheriff Will Reichardt said on Facebook that after four deputies finished lunch at Luckys Teriyaki in Sedro-Woolley Thursday, the owner asked them not to eat there anymore.

Based on the father's inability to speak English, I can see how he may have used the wrong words when speaking to the officers.
I'm not one to hold a grudge over something like this and it's apparent the family is truly sorry, not for the business itself but rather the loss of honor and respect.
However, it would have been nice if the reporter had gotten both sides of the story and found out exactly what the father had said and what was the reasoning behind it.....
Yep....Asian form of Taqquiya. Everyone knows what happened. Old man went home bragging to Mamma-son about how big man he is. Mamma-san started beating him with a wok because "No moah money".
Sent Son Numma One out to lie about how bad his Dad's Engrish is. (My bet his English is perfectly clear). Too bad the cop didn't post his body cam video.
Anyways, I know what happens next. Some OTHER Chinese restaurant is going to have a grand opening soon, nearby, and will cater to cops.
As a side note, if I were from China where the police are indeed feared and who commit atrocities against their citizenry, and I was unable to speak or read English, there would be no way for me to understand the background stories of news videos showing cops shooting or beating crime suspects. The only message I would understand is that cops shoot and beat innocent citizens every day.........
Here is one from yelp:
Worst food, it was either undercooked or burnt. The staff was rude and very arrogant, the bathroom was not clean and didnt have soap. I felt
More like another person in line that was just giving them money for food that was not worth its value. Honestly I’d rather eat streaming hot canned cat food on a sunny day next to a port-a-john!
lol.....
Exactly. Not sorry he said it. Sorry he got caught.
It’s mutual. If you weren’t quite so married, and I though I had the slightest hope of keeping up with you...
wow that is really out of control, the Yelp reviews are just going crazy
I saw that one, too.
yet they won’t.
Called the number on the sign, 360-855-3340. They must have a lot of take out orders as the line is always busy.
Must be all the social justice warriors ranting about a Chinese cultural appropriation of Japanese teriyaki.
Language barrier — owners say police are welcome. It is an asian owned teriyaki joint with no reason to want to keep police away.
A worker misinterpreted a customers complaint and somehow expressed to the cops eating there that they were not welcome.
Owner confirmed cops are always welcome. Offering cops eat for free day on July 18.
That'd be perfect. They'll start nightly fights in his dining room to keep from paying the bill.
