It’s 62 degrees and spongy outdoors. (Clay gets that way when it’s wet. Colloidal suspensions are none too stable for walking purposes under these conditions.)
I recently read two books set in early 18th century China, 1705 or so. The Chinese Empire was trying to take over Tibet, what’s new.
