Our version of The Book Lady lives several miles away, and we were the recipients of her excess when she downsized her library. We took in something like 1000 volumes, or so it seemed.
Last week we heard from her; her mother has passed away and we are the only ones she knows to whom she feels comfortable passing on that library. NO idea how many volumes that amounts to, but...away we go!

Oh, wow. We always take trades to The Book Lady, because we have a fixed amount of shelf space. I also got the travel narrative of Cabeza de Vaca, one of the early explorers of Texas.
