Pluto isn't quite as lonely as scientists had thought.
Astronomers have discovered another dwarf planet in the Kuiper Belt, the ring of icy objects beyond Neptune. But this newfound world, dubbed 2015 RR245, is much more distant than Pluto, orbiting the sun once every 700 Earth years, scientists said. (Pluto completes one lap around the sun every 248 Earth years.)
"The icy worlds beyond Neptune trace how the giant planets formed and then moved out from the sun," discovery team member Michele Bannister, of the University of Victoria in British Columbia, said in a statement. "They let us piece together the history of our solar system."

The exact size of 2015 RR245 is not yet known, but the researchers think it's about 435 miles (700 kilometers) wide. Pluto is the largest resident of the Kuiper Belt, with a diameter of 1,474 miles (2,371 km).
The research team first spotted 2015 RR245 in February of this year, while poring over images that the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope in Hawaii took in September 2015 as part of the ongoing Outer Solar System Origins Survey (OSSOS).
"There it was on the screen — this dot of light moving so slowly that it had to be at least twice as far as Neptune from the sun," Bannister said.

I’ve had my shower, been to Walmart and had a breathing treatment. However, I was unable to get gas (much less getting the truck washed, since I missed last month) and wasn’t able to get about a third of the things on my list. DMV registration and my attorney took care of that.
However, the important stuff is taken care of, and I have just enough to pay Zeke on Tuesday for taking me to the epidural treatment, so I’m good.

Oh yes...and I couldn’t get a Filtrete filter. *sigh* We’re still having 90 + degree days, so the A/C is still running, and I’m still getting the neighbor’s cigarette smoke. I couldn’t even get room deodorizers to help dissipate the odor.
But, like I said, I’m good. I learned how to do without a lot of stuff when I first had to quit work, so I’m OK.
I need to know your secret. EsPECially after a lunch here in Chinatown.

Careful what you wish for.
A sudden influx of formerly poor Chinese “immigrants” will not result in better Chinese restaurants/take-aways, just more of them.
Twenty plus years ago there weren’t many Chinese restaurants locally, but as a rule, decent and sometimes very good. The influx resulted in immigrant food workers dishing up absolute crap with suspect ingredients. Point being that the make do survival ration prep didn’t make them good or sanitary cooks. Now there isn’t a single one within a 10 mile radius in which I would eat even with a guy to my head.
Interesting aside, my kindle fire changed immigrant to non-violent and crap to carp. Must look to settings.

East/ south East Asians are the only migrant groups to have properly joined in with the native population. All of the others turn the locations they invade into mini third world environments.
They are the only group that understand that they have actually left the dump they came from and have a fresh start in life. The others bring their baggage with them....

There is a nasty virus going around here, and I don’t know if it’s the flu or what, but it is felling people right and left. I don’t want it. I hope the darn thing isn’t cropping up where you are.
It would seem though, that I have overdone a few things, as I’ve been very tired and running a low grade fever. I have to make sure that I’m OK come Tuesday morning. I hope Zeke’s car is working by then.
Chuck’s truck got taken to Utah, yesterday, and will be fixed or parted out. But the Hypocrite snagged the spot the truck was in before anyone else could get to it. I keep asking the Lord to forgive him...

The other thing about an influx of Chinese immigrants - back when that first started out west their version of Donald Trump actually managed to make it illegal to hire Chinese immigrants for any but the most menial tasks. His stump speech was about how they were taking away jobs from Americans.
Now they are Americans.
