I will check out that site, thanks.
I got into a stupid mode and got hung up on FB and I hate when I do that.
There is a spider in my bedroom and one bite (sting?) it gave me during the night is really ugly. I had to put ice on it earlier, and just got the icepack out of the freezer again. When I change the sheets on Monday, I am going to spray the room very good. I may also spray the linen closet. I don’t know when pest control is coming again.
I’ve decided to see how much it will cost to have the rug cleaned, as I just don’t think I have the stamina to it, right now. I will call three different places and see what the prices are. It shouldn’t be too expensive for a 7’ X 11’ rug. I don’t know when it will be done, as next month is the registration for the truck. (That reminds me that I have to email the DMV asap. I still haven’t gotten a notice and there is no grace period here.)
Cats often ruin Naptime.
Yes, don’t forget to email the DMV! They can be nasti!
Nastiness seems to be a universal trait of DMVs in every state.
If I go to the DMV closer to the city, it’s staffed by all 400+ pound entitled quota fillers and they are mean as a snake and can never accomplish the task in one trip. If I go a half hour the other way out into the sticks, it’s filled with country folk who are pleasant as a peach and it takes 45 minutes (max, when it’s busy) and a couple smiles to get the job done.
I went out to the part of Monroe where everyone smokes when I did the title for the RX-7, and everything went fine even though my uncle had messed up all the forms. On the other hand, my son went into Charlotte to license the BMW my brother gave him, and he ended up having to go back 3 times.
At first glance, I thought your tagline said, “I live with a fierce alligator.”
I’m going to the eye doctor in two weeks.
No justice.
I’m supposed to be back inCharlotte in a couple weeks. I haven’t had to travel since April, a very nice break. I can’t wait to have a few Mecklenburg copper ale’s, my favorite part of going to our Charlotte orifice.
Hope you have a nice visit. Maybe it will be cooler! I understand there’s a lot of good beer in Charlotte - but I don’t like beer.
It’s been a hot one up here, too! I’m not one who enjoys the heat so much, either.
Yeah, there’s a lot of good beer choices and pubs in Charlotte. I don’t usually have much extra time when travelling to enjoy too much of it though.
Hope everyone is well.
Done. Email is sent containing all the pertinent info on the tuck to DMV, so I will look for a response sometime after Tuesday next week.
*sigh of relief*
And now, just because I’m not feeling all that great, I’m going to wander off in the general direction of the bedroom.
Tomorrow would be a good day to go do something, if I were so inclined and had the money for lunch. I’ll just plan on staying home and planning evasive maneuvers, “just in case.”
I usually go to the “little” DMV here, where folks are still mostly country, and willing to help. I always make it a point to be polite and say something by way of a complement, especially if the clerk is looking harried. Telling a woman that a particular color looks good on her, or telling a guy I root for the same team as the shirt he is wearing, will go a long way to making the visit go faster.
Some folks, on the other hand, are just plain nasty, no matter how hard you try to be pleasant.
Little things like that sure can go a long way in just abuot every aspect of life. That’s the right way to be.
We’re all fine, thanks for asking. Bill the Son has graduated from college!
And then there's ...
Lol.
Do you have a reasonable alternative?
Sure! I've got plenty of projects to keep me occupied, and the wages I'm getting don't allow me to hire others to deal with them. I can't afford to pay others to do what I can do, albeit a bit slower than I used to.
Logic dictates that I'm spinning my wheels. I should quit and start puttering full time.
At least I think that's reasonable.
