If you love pets and animals and sometimes pray for them, I'm asking if you could say a little prayer for our kitty Ciel. She is only five years old, a sweet, smart Balinese. She was perfectly healthy and active until two days ago, when she started vomiting foam and stopped eating.
Today we took her in to the vet and she has acute renal failure and diabetes. He gave her IV fluids, some meds to fight nausea etc, and a little insulin. We are to give her sub q fluids and try to get her to eat. He says that she can recover completely but she needs to eat and keep food down. He gives her a 60% chance of survival because she is young and it is acute.
We love her so. She is usually riding on my son's shoulders or fetching toys for us to throw. Or annoying her older "sister" cat. It's unbearable to see her like this.
Thanks in advance for your prayers.
Prayers up for your beloved kitty. Ours are precious to us, too. They are God’s creatures.
Prayers for pet .
Praying now.
Aw! I am so sorry for your little kitty, named for the French word for Sky. “Ciel”, what a pretty name.
My best friend Kathy has a cat with insulin dependent diabetes and she has had wonderful luck (well it’s not luck, it’s caring and skill) giving her cat insulin and it has been doing well and living a nice kitty cat life for many years now.
I hope it all works out and Ciel will be fine!
Praying for her...so sweet.
Prayers.
Is she on an IV?
prayers up for your furry friend and your family
Praying from here.
Praying for your lil Kitty. My Mom’s friends cat had something similar, gave her plenty of meds and fluids and two years later(After being told there was ZERO hope for recovery) she is perfectly healthy. Sending lots of love and prayers for Ciel
Prayers for your kitty.
Thank you all!!! Prayers work!!
She was on IV today. But the cost of keeping her til Monday in their “hospital” cage was going to be over $1000 and we cannot afford that. So we have to do the sub q at home. One good thing, I saw their “hospital” and it was just her, alone, in the dark, in a cold metal cage, all night and day except for their employee’s short visits tomorrow. She is used to us being around, to her home, to love. So I do think that it is good she is here with us to love her.
I have had success in getting my sick cats to eat with Gerber baby food (in the jars). It smells revolting to me but they smell it and start eating.
Diced rotisserie chicken from the grocery store works too. Not that I would ever buy just that for a cat, you understand. No way. Unh-unh.
The vet might be able to prescribe an appetite stimulant if need be.
I wish you all the best. Cats are wonderful companions and when they become sick we feel so helpless and awful. I will say a prayer for your kitty tonight.

Think larger. God is infinite, and don’t be stingy!
Also, does 'Gluten-free' foods for diabetes also pertain to cats??
Prayers for your kitty.
Prayers up.
